The Future for Electrical Vehicles in PH – the Nissan Leaf

Technology has swept the world in a whirlwind of new ideas and recent developments to our way of living. Not only are we constantly in a state of coming up of ways to do things in everyday lives but we are also in the process of upgrading past innovations which have shaped the world as it has now. A prime example is our vehicles. Before, we depended on the use of horses or carriages as our only means of travel but now, several different types of cars and models have been created for our utmost pleasure. We are one step closer to embracing the future. In this case, the future is the Nissan Leaf, brought to you by Nissan Cagayan De Oro.

In the Philippines, our public transport has slowly been upgraded over time with subways and metro systems. We have always depended on the use of fossil fuels to run our vehicles. However, other developing countries have started going fully electrical—such as Indonesia with its new addition of electric taxis. It’s about time the Philippines started catching up and gearing up for the future as well. Our best shot at going electrical is the Nissan Leaf.

So what makes the Nissan Leaf so special?

1. Runs purely on electricity

Nissan Leaf

This vehicle didn’t win the 2010 Green Car Vision Award out of pure luck. It won because of its innovative design in which it doesn’t rely on fossil fuels to keep it running. According to the Green Car Journal, the Nissan Leaf model provides the aesthetics, the features, and the comfort that meets the needs of a discerning market and disregards the need for petroleum fuel.

Because it’s electric, the model depends on a charging station. It takes eight hours to reach the full charge of the battery. You even have the option of installing your own charging station at your house. Since the Nissan Leaf features an EPA that extends to 150 miles, it’s great for long commutes and across the country drives. It not only lets you travel with style but it also lets you travel a long ways from home without needing to stop over. Just make sure it’s fully charged before you plan the next family vacation!

2. Environment friendly

Nissan Leaf

Because it depends on electricity, no harm is done to the environment. Gone are the days where we depend on fossil fuels as sources of power and effectively add up to greenhouse gases that have polluted the earth since technology was born. At this point in time, it’s part of our survival instincts to think green. What better way to travel now than with a car that has won multiple awards?

The Philippines has always been avid producers of greenhouse gases due to the amount of petroleum fuel used to power our vehicles. This can change with the release of the Nissan Leaf. With promise of applying the much-needed developments in both the private and public transport fields, this model car holds with it the future in its design.

3. Widely popular around the globe

Nissan Leaf

The United States, Japan and Europe have the largest Nissan Leaf market in the world. Accordingly, the vehicle is said to be “the world’s all-time best-selling highway-capable electric car,” with some even claiming it’s the best EV model up to date. This is because the Nissan Leaf features carryover mechanicals, a better battery tech, a good range for an electric vehicle and an overall pleasing look to its design.

Compared to most EVs, the Nissan Leaf is the most affordable one there is. It caters to a wider demographic since it features a five-door hatchback electric car model, fit for family vacations or out-of-the-country road trips with friends. With more or less the same qualities to a Chevrolet Bolt EV and Tesla’s Model 3 but at a lower price range, there is little room to doubt as to why the Nissan Leaf has been topping the charts in foreign countries.

The Nissan Leaf – What a time to be alive

The future is here and it’s electric. While the Philippines may still have a long way to go before it can be up to par with First World countries in terms of its transport system, there is still something to look forward to and it’s the Nissan Leaf. Since the company is releasing the electric vehicle to the country in 2020, it’s best to check it out first at Nissan Cagayan De Oro, located at Elipe Park, Rodolfo N. Pelaez Blvd in CDO, Misamis Oriental.

Nissan Servicing and Warranty

One of the things drivers tend to prioritize when purchasing a new car is to make sure it is fully covered. It’s not that they expect they’re going to be part of a car crash someday, but rather it’s to make sure that they are prepared for any eventuality that might happen. It has served many a driver well several times, and when worst comes to worst, they would rather take it to the dealer where they purchased their vehicle, as it is most likely they would be the ones who know what needs to be done.

nissan warranty

Although it is common practice to take the vehicle to the dealer for repairs when needed, there are third-parties that offer car insurance as well. Most drivers prefer to avail of their services though when their warranty from the dealer expires, or if they purchased the vehicle pre-owned. However, even though owners would rather have their vehicle serviced in-house, a lot of them actually don’t know the full details of the warranty’s coverage. Some don’t even know when it would expire, and they would only find out when they finally do need to have the car serviced.

Nissan takes special care to inform any and all vehicle owners about their warranty service. Despite this though, because it isn’t really a topic that one thinks about often, most would forget about it until the time they need it. Here, we have laid out some details of Nissan’s service warranty.

Nissan new vehicle warranty

Nissan endeavors to provide all of their customers with peace of mind so they are able to focus on the exciting new experience of being a Nissan vehicle owner. The company ensures vehicle operation, but of course, it is within a certain set of limitations. Here, we will explain what these stipulations exactly are, and other details about the warranty like how long it lasts, and just what Nissan is able to do for the customer. Nissan also asks for confirmation from the customer, which can be found in the Warranty booklet that comes with each vehicle delivered.

Outline

nissan service

Basically, Nissan will guarantee that for a certain amount of time, or specific mileage which is laid out in the New Vehicle Warranty Period section of the booklet, the company will be responsible for replacing or repairing any part of the car. Of course, there are also certain parts or sections of the vehicle that are not covered. These replacements or repairs will only be done free of charge if the materials were proven to be defective.

Warranty period

The period for the New Vehicle Warranty will start from the date that the vehicle is first put into service or registered, whichever comes first. For the time, the period shall be three years, and for the mileage, it will be 100,000 kilometers. The booklet also contains more details regarding this, which can be found under “New Vehicle Warranty Period.”

What the company can do

nissan cagayan de oro servicenissan cagayan de oro service

Nissan has implemented a new vehicle pre-delivery inspection that they perform with each released vehicle. After this is done, and if the warranty applies, whenever the driver needs to have replacements and repairs done, no fees will be charged either for labor or parts, as long as it is taken to a nominated Nissan outlet, or authorized Nissan dealer.

Conditions

So that the Nissan vehicle is able to receive the proper care and maintenance, scheduled maintenance services are the minimum requirement which can be performed at the owner’s discretion. So, if owners are not able to regularly go to the dealership or outlet and have their vehicle serviced, the company has the right to deny the warranty that owners wish to claim.

Not under coverage

Examples of what is not covered in the warranty are all types of tires and batteries, as they are subject to a separate warranty. Any failures or damage that resulted from any unauthorized modifications are also void, as well as any use of non-genuine Nissan equipment, parts, or accessories. Normal wear and tear is also not included in the warranty, as well as any damage that is a result of the owner using any dirty or improper fluid, fuel, lubricant, or oil. Of course, any misuse won’t be covered either, including but not limited to continuous driving after loss of any fluids, driving over curbs, or overloading.

Take note that these are merely examples, and all the details regarding the service warranty can be gleaned from the booklet given to each owner upon vehicle delivery.

Nissan Terra Features and Prices in the Philippines

Here in the Philippines, the mid-sized SUV battle has always been a tightly one. A lot of major manufacturers have placed their bets, and as of now, there has been no clear-cut winner. Every year, car companies bring out new versions of their prized SUVs, and they never fail to impress. With newer technology going into the creation of these beauties, and more features aimed at enhancing the rider’s experience, one can always expect that the new SUVs coming up will definitely be a good match for anyone who likes to ride in style.

Nissan is no different, as just this year the Japanese company has released their own contender for the mid-sized SUV crown: the Nissan Terra. Originally sold in China by Dongfeng Nissan and Zhengzhou Nissan, the Nissan Terra was launched in the Philippines last May. Compared to the Chinese version of the vehicle, the Philippine Nissan Terra is slightly wider and longer, and also seats more passengers. Developed from the Nissan Navara NP300, the Terra sports a look similar to that of the Nissan Terrano. The car has been much-anticipated since October of last year, when car enthusiast circles were bombarded with the announcement that a Navara-based SUV was to arrive.

Exterior

Looking at the Nissan Terra up front, it definitely looks the part of a powerful SUV. It has this muscular look due to its Nissan signature V-shaped chrome grille, as well as sharply designed headlights that also have LED daytime running lamps. Another feature that you can see from looking at it face to face is the large air intake and the huge front bumper. To its side, the Terra has 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as flared fenders and chrome-finished door handles. It also has a moderately high ground clearance of 220mm, which is clearly visible because of the high sitting stance. At the back, it features a unique set of tail lights that are combined with a chrome trim.

Interior

Going inside the Nissan Terra, one will immediately notice that the interior closely resembles that of the Nissan Navara. It has a sloping dashboard and a V-shaped steering wheel, and higher variants also feature automatic climate control system and rear air vents. When it comes to space, the Nissan Terra is capable of seating up to seven passengers in three rows.

Mounting and dismounting for those on the third row is less of a hassle now due to the vehicle’s automatic tumble function, wherein a simple push of a button on the dashboard will allow passengers on the third row to easily move in or get out. The Terra also has Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility Features, and is loaded with an intelligent rear view mirror, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, hill-descent control, and more.

Engine and Performance

 nissan terra engine

Because the Nissan Terra will have the same body-on-frame chassis design as the Navara, the vehicle will have the same 4×4, and powerful off-road capability similar to that of the Navara. As opposed to the 2.5L QR25 gas engine in the Chinese model, the ASEAN market Terra features a 2.5L YD25DDTi turbo-diesel engine, again, like that of the Navara. This robust engine can give out 187 horse power and 450 Nm of torque, working together with either a six-speed manual, or seven-speed automatic transmission. Despite the big numbers that the Nissan Terra is able to deliver power-wise, those inside are still guaranteed a comfortable ride as Nissan prioritized passenger comfort.

Prices

The Nissan Terra’s price varies depending on the capabilities of the engine and the transmission. The prices are as follows:

  • Nissan Terra 2.5L Mid 4×2 Six speed Manual Transmission                                  PHP 1,499,000
  • Nissan Terra 2.5L Mid 4×2 Seven speed Automatic Transmission                        PHP 1,615,000
  • Nissan Terra 2.5L High 4×2 Seven speed Automatic Transmission                        PHP 1,697,000
  • Nissan Terra 2.5L Premium 4×2 Seven speed Automatic Transmission                PHP 1,899,000
  • Nissan Terra 2.5L Premium 4×4 Seven speed Automatic Transmission                PHP 2,096,000

In closing

The mid-sized SUV market has just gotten a lot more competitive with Nissan’s brand new contender. The Terra is the perfect choice for those who love the power and comfort that the Nissan Navara provides, but prefer SUVs over pick-up trucks. The Nissan Terra will go head to head with the vehicles from other manufacturers, particularly the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Everest, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Isuzu MU-X, and more. Only time will tell which one will come out on top though, and for now all we can do is enjoy the features and capabilities that these high-end SUVs give us.

What’s New with 2018 Nissan Vehicles

Throughout the entire year, car manufacturers are working hard to improve and add more features to their vehicles. Not every car is going to get an upgrade for the year, but companies always make sure to bring about new things to add to the vehicles that they do intend to update. Car companies, as is true with all businesses, will always want to stay ahead of the competition and at the same time make sure their customers are getting the best possible product to ensure clients will keep on trusting their brand.

Nowhere is it more evident than in Nissan. Aside from the new system features that they have cooked up, there are other new aspects that are specific to each vehicle the Nissan has pumped out this year. Here, we provide a little insight into what Nissan has under their sleeves for 2018, and anything else they’ve put under the hood.

Nissan Intelligent Mobility

There are a lot of problems the everyday driver has to face nowadays. From accidents, to traffic jams and even air pollution, as every year passes by, more and more vehicles are now on the streets. Unfortunately, this also equates to the fact that there are more and more things that drivers are going to have to contend with. Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility is their solution to this problem; a way to alleviate at least some of the worries drivers and car owners have so as to provide a smoother, more comfortable experience.

Fueled by this goal for increased mobility and comfort, Nissan is equalizing these new ideas and technologies by bringing them from the luxury variants into the more economical, popular designs and therefore making sure more drivers have access to these components. All in all, Nissan Intelligent Mobility is not something that just makes the cars more automated, it is also a resource to characterize Nissan by focusing on how the cars are powered, integrated, and driven in society. These technologies are not far off into the future, but are already taking form in the vehicles of today.

Nissan Intelligent Driving

This facet of the Nissan Intelligent Mobility makes drivers more confident because of its improved comfort, safety and control for everyone inside the vehicle. Driver Assist technologies are found in Nissan cars these days, including the Nissan Serena for the Japanese Market, which incidentally is the first vehicle to produce the ProPILOT Assist feature.

Nissan Intelligent Integration

This feature keeps drivers connected by linking Nissan vehicles to the society at large. The company assists in shaping a viable ecosystem that allows the drivers to reach out to road infrastructure, other drivers and other cars. This innovation will lead to lesser traffic jams, remote vehicle use, enhanced energy control and more dynamic car sharing.

Nissan Intelligent Power

This technology makes the driving experience more eco-friendly by increasingly reducing emissions and dynamically boosting fuel economy. The company is aiming to achieve zero-emission transportation by having internal combustion engines be even more efficient and making use of more advanced technologies to their vehicles.

ProPILOT Assist

Nissan’s ProPILOT Assists makes it so the driver has an easier time when steering, braking and accelerating during certain driving conditions. The driver just turns the ProPILOT Assist button on, as well as setting the Intelligent Cruise Control when the correct speed has been reached. Whenever too many lane markers are detected, the steering assist activates and the icon on the instrument panel lights up, alerting the driver.

Rear Door Alert

This system helps Nissan car owners check the rear seats as the car is turned off. It observes the rear door switches to see if they are either open or closed prior to and after a trip.

Conclusion

Every year, drivers and owners will always expect new features for new cars Nissan puts out. Though not all of these will be found in every single model they release this year, these still are surely something to look forward to. The 2018 lineup is no different, and drivers can rest assured Nissan will continue to impress even more in the years to come.

The Nissan Juke N-Style – Moroccan Gray Will Be Your Next Car

The Nissan Juke N-Style – Moroccan Gray Will Be Your Next Car

Why Nissan’s Latest Creation Deserves Every Car Enthusiast’s Attention

When the limited edition Nissan Juke N-Style first came out, it caught the attention of a lot of car enthusiasts. It immediately became the stand out on any car lot.

post11523_4

Now, Nissan Philippines Inc. has made available a Juke N-Style that’s donning a new color in an effort to give an already standout car more pizzazz and a striking presence on the road.

post11523_3

When the Juke N-Style was first introduced back in January, there were only two available colors, Black Obsidian adorned with yellow accents and Cosmic Blue paired with white accents. As if those colors didn’t demand enough attention on the road, the new iteration of the Juke N-Style dons the eye-catching Moroccan Gray with orange accent color combo.

post11523_1

Just like the previous versions, this Juke N-Style is a thing of beauty. The Moroccan Gray and orange accents blend perfectly to the style and shape of the vehicle, highlighting its most precious assets. Just like a lady who knows exactly how to grab the attention of a gentleman across a crowded room.

Nissan Juke N-Style Exterior Features

Much like the previously released limited edition Juke N-Style, this Moroccan Gray version perfectly highlights its most beautiful curves. The orange accents showcase a lot of its elegantly designed trimmings.

Looking at the front of the car, your eyes are immediately drawn to its captivating face. The headlamps adorned with an orange trim, the fog lamps surrounded by LED rings, the shape and accents of the front bumper and grill—you can tell that the engineers and designers really put their best foot forward on this one.

The view from the back is just as amazing, which reminds me a lot of that 1992 Sir Mix-A-Lot song “Baby Got Back,” if you know what I mean. The boldness of the overall design, the striking rear accents—what a view it must be getting stuck behind this car in the middle of a traffic jam! I know I’d rather be staring at that beautiful rear end than anything else when I’m stuck in traffic.

The sleek design of the side doors, the stylized side mirrors, the highlighted door sills, and the accented door handle covers complete the perfect look the designers are trying to achieve.

The Interior Enhancements

Not that the previous releases of the Juke N-Style had dull interior features, but this Moroccan Gray version really has massive appeal when it comes to aesthetics. The black, gray, and orange color combo really captures the persona the vehicle is trying to embody. When you’re driving in this thing, you’re driving in style.

post11523_2

The bright orange center console is a step ahead in terms of visual interior enhancements. The orange accents around the interior AC and the speakers just add to its elegance. Most importantly, with all these amazing new features and enhancements, they never sacrifice the comfort that is inherent in the Juke N-Style. Comfort is truly at its core.

Other Amazing Features

The Intelligent Key

Of course the Nissan Juke N-Style is not without its amazing core features, such as the Intelligent Key that lets you tap a button on the door handle to unlock the car, while your key is safely tucked in your pocket or your purse.

The Push Button Ignition

The cool-as-ever push button ignition that allows you to imagine you’re Sebastian Vettel in a Formula One car. With this amazing feature, you can just enter the vehicle, start the engine by pushing the button, and go without even taking out your key.

The Double Agent

Apart from riding in style, the Juke N-Style also features the I-Con system, which enables you to control the interior climate of the car and the driving mode with just a press of a button. You can switch from D-Mode to Climate Mode quicker than switching TV channels.

The Patented Nissan Safety Shield

The Nissan brand is known for the extra precautions they put into the engineering and development of their vehicles. The Nissan Safety Shield is a philosophy that emphasizes on a comprehensive approach to driving safety.

From the systematic placement of the consoles to minimize distractions while you’re driving, to the sophistication they put into the design and engineering of the air bag and safety belt systems, you can be certain that when you’re driving a Nissan, you are in a safe and secure environment.

Nissan and Microsoft Cortana: The Next Step in Smart Vehicles

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES), which is held every year in January in Las Vegas, Nevada, has a few notable highlights and surprises this year. From the latest in computer technology to flat screen TVs, to the newest smartphones and other smart home devices, all of the consumer products presented in the show early this year have certainly given us hope for a great and exciting 2017.

That’s not all.

Of all the newsworthy releases and presentations made by various electronics manufacturers, there is one announcement that really made a few ripples in the industry. That was when Microsoft announced its plans to integrate the Windows 10, along with its proprietary software Microsoft Cortana smart assistant, to a Nissan car.

nissan-cortana-624x351

If this news tells you anything, it’s that some time in the near future, Windows’ smart assistant will play a major role in the way you drive your new Nissan car.

The Microsoft Cortana Software in a Nutshell

Cortana is a software application that works as an intelligent personal assistant developed by Microsoft for various platforms, including Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Phone 8.1, their gaming platform Xbox One, Microsoft Band, as well as for the iOS and Android systems.

This smart assistant can recognize the voice of the user and accept commands through audio input rather than typed commands via keyboard. It can answer queries by using data found through the Bing search engine, in addition to performing basic tasks like setting reminders and so on.

Here’s more:

Besides English, the Cortana smart assistant is also available in other languages, including Chinese, Japanese, German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian, depending on the region in which the software is used and the software platform being used. Microsoft’s Cortana smart assistant is not the first one of its kind; it’s competing with Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri.

So what was so groundbreaking with Microsoft’s announcement in Nevada during CES 2017?

If you take away anything from the consumer electronics show this year, it would be the great potential that the budding relationship between Microsoft and Nissan can accomplish in the near future. Microsoft has announced their plans to integrate their software into Nissan cars. The concept, if successful, is poised to compete with other smart car systems already available in the market.

What Microsoft’s Cortana Smart Assistant Can Do for Nissan’s Infotainment System

If you consider the software technology being used in most cars, today, it’s somewhat limited in its capabilities due to the fact that it’s all proprietary. Proprietary software development is great from a business standpoint, but you can’t deny the fact that it can keep the end product from reaching its full potential.

Here’s the thing.

Microsoft has been in the software development business for decades. Nissan has been in the automotive industry for decades as well. Now, you put the two together and you will be getting the best of both worlds. It’s easy to see how this can be a boon for us consumers.

With Microsoft integrating its software into Nissan cars, you are not just driving a well-made and well-designed vehicle, but you will also have an intuitive and smart user interface on the dashboard. The future of smart automobiles has never been this exciting. Not since they invented the automatic transmission, perhaps?

Nissan’s Self-Driving Technology with Windows 10 and Cortana Smart Assistant

Here is where things can get a wee bit more exciting.

Nissan released a demo video of what the Cortana software can do to your vehicle. Apart from the fundamental features and capabilities of Microsoft’s smart assistant, there were glimpses of Cortana’s true potential in its full integration in self-driving vehicles,as shown in the video.

The best part?

With a few tweaks and further development, this smart assistant software would be capable of completely taking over a fully automated, self-driving vehicle in the near future. The same way similar software can fully control a smart home, from room temperature settings to security systems.

There was one point in the demo video where Cortana actually asked the driver whether to engage the car’s automatic parking feature, this unequivocally shows the main goal of Microsoft’s efforts and initiatives in the field of automated vehicles.

With this piece of smart technology, and the cooperation of two titans in their respective industries, the future of fully automated self-driving vehicles has never felt more realized. Visit your local Nissan dealer soon and check out their new smart assistant, Cortana.

Of course, good looks aren’t enough reason for anyone to buy a car or even get excited about its arrival on the market. Fortunately, the Nissan Rogue isn’t just about good looks. It most definitely has a lot more going for it.

A Functionality You Can Applaud

We’ve already given you a hint of how stylish and comfortable the vehicle’s interior is, but what about its functionality? Well it certainly helps you do what you need to do with ease. You need to transport more than three people to an important destination? You may do so in comfort, with the Rogue’s 3rd row seating.

And guess what? The 3rd row seating can be folded down in case you need to move some cargo. It even has a Divide-N-Hide Cargo System that allows you to separate valuable cargo from non-essentials. Furthermore, an upper and lower deck enable you to store a great deal more than other vehicles in this class can carry.

As if that’s not enough, the Nissan Rogue also boasts a host of advanced technological and digital features, including the following:

  • Around View Monitor – For most newbie drivers, the driving itself isn’t much of a problem. It’s the parking and backing up that usually causes jitters, right? Well, with this technology, which includes moving object detection, parking and backing up has become so much easier.

The technology makes use of four wide-angle cameras to give you an overhead view of your vehicle, thereby giving you a good view of everything around you while you park your car or back up.

  • Nissan Connect – This is a comprehensive infotainment system that helps you stay connected via a variety of applications. It provides entertainment, news, and navigation assistance, among other things. And all these are provided from just one dash-mounted touch screen. How cool is that?

  • Siri Eyes Free – It isn’t safe to be on the phone while driving, right? With this technology, talking on the phone while driving has been made a whole lot safer. It enables you to access your smartphone without ever taking your eyes off the road.

Of course, we’re not encouraging you to make phone calls (or answer calls) while driving, but in cases of emergency where you just absolutely need to make or answer calls, at least you now have a much safer way of doing so.

And speaking of safety, it is well worth noting that the Nissan Rogue was named “Top Safety Pick” by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) primarily because of the wide array of monitoring services and accident-prevention technology built into the vehicle.

Blind Spot Warning System

The Blind Spot Warning System, Forward Emergency Braking System, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System are just some of the most notable safety features boasted by the Nissan Rogue. It truly is a vehicle worth having.

At the very least, it is definitely worth checking out. And when you do check it out, you’re bound to find that it is just as sensational as Rogue One, the movie we’ve all been dying to watch.

Not quite familiar with the truck and the campaign? That’s what we’re here for! Read on as we tell you about it…

A Track Record Going Back 80 Years

Nissan is definitely not a newbie when it comes to presenting the world with pickup trucks of excellent quality. In fact, they’ve been coming up with tested and proven trucks for the past 80 years.

And this year’s offering, the Nissan NP300 Navara, is both tough and smart—ideal not only for urban driving, but also for off-road adventures. This is how it is able to offer you the best of both worlds.

That’s not even the only “best of both” the Navara has to offer. It is also highly commendable when it comes to both power and fuel efficiency. Plus, it features a tough frame that ensures durability and safety, while also boasting a soft and smooth interior that ensures a comfortable ride.

Definitely Built for Both Worlds

The new Nissan NP300 Navara has been compared to a number of other pickup trucks and in these comparisons, it usually comes out victorious. The reason? Why, the fact that it IS built for both worlds, of course!

This is why Nissan Philippines has decided to roll out a #BuiltforBothWorlds campaign for their top truck.

As part of this campaign, a Navara unit was turned into an artist’s canvas on November 4 at the Corte de Las Palmas, Alabang Town Center. It was experimental artist John Carlo Vargas who worked on a dirt-covered Navara, transforming the dirt into art. The resulting “Dirt Art” was then put on display until November 6.

With the campaign rolling, a similar art display may just be coming to your area soon. But do you really have to wait when you can have the best of both worlds now?
